… in one of my last manicures I tried Essie “Nourish me” for the first time. I have very dry nails at the moment (= quickly chipping polish), and I was looking for a base coat to fix this. I had Sally Hansen Miracle Cure at home already, and it was ok, I saw it getting a bit better, but I was not 100% satisfied. So when I read the description for “Nourish me” it sounded just like the thing I was looking for.
Well, it wasn’t.
After not even 12 hours (from which I slept about seven) I had visible chips on the side of two nails and small chips at the top on three nails. 😦
I’ll give it another shot, maybe it just didn’t combine well with the essence polish I used, but if that won’t work as well it’ll go straight to the “clear polish to attach studs” drawer. Meh.
If anyone has a suggestion for a good base coat for dry nails, please let me know in the comments. 🙂
EDIT 30.09.2013: Looks like this base coat just doesn’t like to play with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri/Dries Instantly. With the Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat it works fine, and now is one of my go-to base coats. 🙂
