Early Snow?!

I know it is WAY to early for a manicure like that, but Lena and Cyw decided on  white  for this weeks “Lacke in Farbe … und Bunt!”, so what’s a girl to do? 😀

I started with two coats of a sheer white – “Marshmallow” – which I really love using because unlike most whites or light colors, it doesn’t streak much. With two coats you get a soft and clean, almost french-like look, without resembling the much feared Tipp-Ex/Wite-Out/Liquid Paper nails.

In the hope that at least on white polish it will do its name justice, I added one layer of “White Polka Dot” on top, but no – this polish should better be named “Almost Transparent (With a Bit of Iridescent Glitter) Polka Dot”. 😛 But in this case it is ok, it adds a subtle twinkle to the overall look, which probably suits it even better than hard white glitter dots. For some extra sparkle, I also dabbed a bit of small silver glitter over the stamping.

I really don’t feel like wearing snowflakes on my nails yet, but I will certainly repeat this manicure sometimes around December, I really like how it turned out. So thanks to Lena and Cyw for the inspiration. 🙂

Main color: essie 3 Marshmallow (two coats)
Glitter: Nubar G714 White Polka Dot
Top coat: Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat
Stamping: Konad Special Nail Polish in white with Bundle Monster BM-323
Glitter: Rival de Loop Young Express Colour 14 sparkling princess
Final Top Coat: Seche Vite
