Firebird

This weekend I finally found the time to create my entry for this months “Mottomonat” by Cyw – “Birds & Feathers!”:

I wanted a washed-out tie-dye cloudy/fiery look instead of a soft gradient as base, so I started with two coats of “break through” and then roughly sponged the other two colors on top. After that, I used the possibly worst top coat ever (Catrice Quick Dry & High Shine Top Coat) to mix the colors together. I never had a top coat that smeared so, so very much – but in this case, it was exactly what I wanted and it gave me the look I had in mind. 😀

On top of that, I used some birds from the Kitty plate – pretty much everything on this plate would be perfect for this months theme *g* – and the firebird from the Mother Nature plate.

Base coat: essie Nourish Me
Base color: essence colour & go 26 break through (two coats)
Sponged: Rimmel 60 seconds 415 instyle coral and p2 color victim 730 hug me!
Top coat: Catrice Quick Dry & High Shine Top Coat
Stamping: essence nail art stampy polish 002 stamp me! black with MoYou London Kitty 11 and Mother Nature 02
Final top coat: Seche Vite
