After last weeks disaster I decided to play it safe and used a polish from one of my favourite brands: Misslyn. It was part of the “Mini” collection that came out earlier this year – and “Mini” because it came in small bottles, not because it had only a few colors. 😉 In fact, it had quite a lot colors, 24 to be exact, and each color prettier than the other. I am sure I will show some of the other colors I got from this collection in the future. 😀
This weeks color of “Lacke in Farbe … und Bunt!” is “hellblau” (light blue), and the perfect occasion to give “sparkling ocean” a try:
Most of the polishes from this range have a cream base with some sort of glitter in it, and “sparkling ocean” is no different. In this case it is a light blue base, with lots of silver glitter. As you can see especially in the second picture, the glitter is unfortunately not as visible on the nails as it promised to be in the bottle.
But that is about the only downside of this polish. As usual with Misslyn, application was easy as a breeze, even though you have a smaller brush and it was a bit thicker than regular Misslyn polishes. Drying time was fast, clean-up in spite of the glitter mess-free, and I was happy after two coats, which is a great result for such a light color.
I added a simple stamping on the accent nails, using one of KIKOs “Mirror” polishes. I still love them for stamping, they are just perfect, and they came in so many pretty colors. ❤
