Autumn trees

Again I am quite late for this months theme for Cyws “Mottomonat” – “A Hint of Autumn” – but better late than never, right? 😉

This is heavily inspired by something I did almost a year ago, but instead of dark colors, I wanted to do something more bright and warm, like looking at multi-colored leaves on a perfect indian summer day. 🙂

I started with two coats of “lemon drop”, a bright glittering yellow, and sponged different red and orange-colored polishes on top, with a bit of green thrown in the mix. I wanted it to glow from within, so I only used polishes with lots of glitter and shimmer.

To blend everything together, I finished with one thin coat of “tangerine twist”.

I think it turned out nicely, though I probably should have added some more green on top of the final layer. I like the blend of yellow/orange/red polishes, but I think the green could have been a little more visible. What do you think?

Base coat: p2 hands & nails calcium gel
Base color: p2 summer attack 020 lemon drop (two coats)
Sponged: p2 summer attack 030 tangerine twist, essence colour & go 169 a hint of love, Manhattan Lotus Effect 67V, China Glaze Let It Snow 1016 Glittering Garland
Top color: p2 summer attack 030 tangerine twist (one coat)
Top coat: Seche Vite
