Black queen

This weeks color for “Lacke in Farbe … und Bunt!” is “schwarz” (black), and while it isn’t one from the Mini LE, it is again a Misslyn polish… 😀

“black queen” has a black base, but with lots of tiny shimmer bits. You can pretty much spot every color of the rainbow, but the huge amount is purple and blue toned, which gives it more of a cold and icy look. Like most Misslyn polishes – or at least the ones I tend to buy 😉 – it needs a lot of light to show its glow.

Application was easy and flawless. With carefull application one thick coat might be enough to get it fully opaque, though I did two as usual. And in spite of the shimmer and the dark and heavily pigmented color, clean-up didn’t cause any trouble.

I wanted to show how close to black the polish is in the shadow, and how different in the light, so on the accent nails (thumb and ring finger) I stamped a simple pattern in black on top. It is a very subtle effect, only visible in the right light.

Base coat: p2 hands & nails calcium gel
Main color: Misslyn 463 black queen (two coats)
