In December there are many occasions to get dressed up and celebrate – Christmas, New Years Eve – so Cyw wants matching “Festive” nails for this months “Mottomonat”. I decided on a look that would (hopefully) work both for Christmas and a New Years Eve party:
I recently fell a bit in love with the “gel nails look”, which is basically a pimped-up french on otherwise naked nails. I started with a nude-tinted base coat to get a slightly smoother look on the visible part of my nails. I didn’t want them to be completely blank, so I added a stamping on top. This is such a delicate pattern, and I was surprised how well it transferred to the nail. However, the downside was that the plate clogged immediately and I had to thoroughly clean it after every nail, which was a bit tiresome.
With the same gold polish I used for stamping, I sponged a rough gradient on one side of the french line and added gold glitter – also fading out a little – on top. On the other side I used a dark, shimmering red and again gold glitter for more sparkle. 😉
I had a lot of fun with this event throughout the year (see below), and I sure hope that Cyw will continue it next year. Either way, thanks Cyw for hosting it! 🙂

Wow, wow, wow!! SO sieht ein festliches Nageldesign aus, meine Güte, wie wunderschön das wieder geworden ist. Das edle Rot zusammen mit goldenem Glitzer und den filigranen Verschnörkelungen – also echt, einfach perfekt. Ich steh ja auch total auf diesen Gel Nails Look, wie du ihn so schön nennst.
Die Übersicht über deine Mottomonat-Designs ist total klasse – ein Jahr in Mottodesigns, sieht richtig cool aus. 😀 Und ich könnte ganz ehrlich keinen Favoriten wählen, weil sie wirklich ALLE so toll geworden sind! Danke fürs fleißige Mitmachen, ich freu mich jedes Mal sehr 🙂
Es ist mir eine Freude und Ehre, den Mottomonat zu hosten, und bei so vielen tollen Teilnahmen jeden Monat wird es den auch noch sehr lange geben, denn ich finde es einfach schön, gemeinsam eine vielseitige Galerie zu einem Thema zu schaffen. Wenn mir irgendwann die Mottos ausgehen, veranstalte ich einfach Umfragen 😀
