Swirled aubergine

This weeks color for “Lacke in Farbe … und Bunt!” is aubergine:

swirled aubergine

swirled aubergine“sensual purple” is another “Every Month is Oktoberfest” look-alike, though it is a bit lighter and the glow a bit more pink-ish than that. It has a dark purple, almost blue base with lots and lots of red-pink shimmer particles. It is almost black in the shadow, but as soon as light hits it, it starts to glow.

Application was nice and easy, two coats and you get a perfect finish. I was really impressed how easy it was to clean for such a dark color with so much shimmer, it didn’t stain oder smear at all.

It comes with a removable cap (like for example Butter London polishes), which you have to pull off first so you can reach the handle to screw it open – and I spent about a minute screwing and screwing the cap with nothing happening until I remembered that. 😀

“sensual purple” was part of the “Mirror Mirror On The Wall” LE p2 brought out in fall 2013.

I don’t know why, but whenever I use a polish like that, I have the very strong urge to combine it with gold. Sometimes I can resist, but not today. 😉

I painted two coats of “Goldfinger” as base, then used “sensual purple” to paint the curved french and swirl and then added some golden glitter for some extra sparkle.
