Turquoise stone

Wednesday means it’s another round of “Lacke in Farbe … und bunt!” by Lena and Cyw, with turquoise being the color of choice this time:

Turquoise is a hard to describe color (like taupe two weeks ago), especially if you throw other greenish blues or blueish greens like mint, aqua or teal in the mix. So again I took the easy option, and picked a nail polish that had turquoise in its name. And I decided to add stamping that would make it look a bit like the stone  (more or less like this; probably less 😉 ) – hoping I’m not stretching the guidelines for this event too far. 🙂

The essie polish is more like a jelly than a creme, so I needed three coats. For the stamping I painted the pattern on the plate with bronze polish, then added a few drops of black and swirled them together with a toothpick before scraping it off.

Base coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Cure
Main color: essie 98 turquoise & caicos (three coats)
Stamping: Konad Special Nail Polish in bronze and black with Bundle Monster BM-313
Top Coat: Seche Vite
